NEK Collaborative – Who We Are

The Collaborative is a volunteer organization that has had paid administrative help for much but not all of the decade it’s been in existence. The Board sets its direction and keeps it going. Anyone who attends two meetings in a 12-month period can be a member (see by-laws). All are welcome to join the listservs we manage on various NEK-related topics, or to participate in the Forums section of this web site, which we have recently (March 2010) put in place for use by anyone who registers. We exist in order to improve communication and collaboration among the residents, employers, and other parties interested in the health and vigor of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. We do this through contact with public and private agencies in the region, holding forums for discussion of topics of interest, working towards a shared strategic plan, and working with appropriate local partners on the most important goals identified by participants in the planning process.
